  • I changed phone and it will not let me in

An account is bound to one device at a time, so signing in from a second phone is refused on purpose. On the sign-in screen, choose the option to request a device reset and give the email address your account uses. A Nazim or the Nazim-e-Aala approves it, and the new phone works from then on.

  • I have forgotten my password

Use Forgot password on the app’s sign-in screen. A one-time code goes to the email address your account was issued to; enter it and set a new password. Nobody at JFS can read or tell you your existing one.

  • How do I get an account?

You do not create one. Your Nazim sends an invitation to your email address, naming the unit and the role, and accepting it creates the account. There is no public sign-up, and support cannot issue you an account — only your Nazim can.

  • My invitation link opened a web page instead of the app

That page shows your invitation code with a copy button. Install JFS, open it, choose I have an invitation code, and paste it in. Installing the app cannot carry the code across by itself, which is why the code is shown rather than hidden away.

    How signing in works
  • I was sent a receipt and something on it is wrong

The email has a link that shows the amount, the date and the unit that recorded it, with a button to report a problem. That reaches the unit directly. A receipt is never edited — a correction is recorded as its own entry, so the trail shows what was wrong and what was done about it.

  • Why does the app want the camera and my photos?

To photograph a bill for an expense, and to set a profile picture. It asks the moment you tap to attach something, not at startup, and declining leaves the rest of the app working. It reads nothing from your library except the images you pick.

    Privacy policy
  • Can I delete my account?

Write to it@jamiat.org.pk from the address your account uses. The account is deactivated so it can no longer sign in, and personal details that are not part of a financial record are removed. The records you entered stay, with your name against the actions you took, because the organisation’s audit and the receipts issued to donors depend on them.
